Second Annual Sukhumvit Soi 11 Thai Zombie Walk
Saturday, October 16th, 2010
Bacardi, the Sukhumvit Soi 11 Association, the Lotus Flower Foundation and Bangkok Haunt present the 2nd Annual Sukhumvit Soi 11 Thai Zombie Walk.
Saturday, October 16th, 2010
Meet When & Where?
5 pm at the stairs directly in front of Siam Paragon – the long flight of ‘platform’ stairs directly in front of Siam Paragon with all of the beautiful ponds. At 5:20 pm, all Zombies will move as a group up to the specially arranged tuk tuks that are organized specifically for the Zombies. The crazy, zombie-like tuk tuk drivers will escort all of the zombies via tuk tuk from Siam Paragon to the opening of Soi 11 (Sukhumvit) connection) and drop them off there. Once all zombies have arrived, the official, 2nd Annual Sukhumvit Soi 11 Thai Zombie Walk will begin. The walk is expected to take about 30-45 minutes.
In November of 2008, the Sukhumvit Soi 11 association was formed to give all of the different businesses on soi 11 greater unity. The soi includes restaurants, nightclubs, spas, hotels, condos, serviced apartments, among many other valuable venues. Several times a year, the Soi 11 Association gets together to host different events that help the community, help beautify the soi, and to promote their own ‘togetherness.’ Hey, it also helps bring awareness to the coolest street in Bangkok.
Caller: “What do we want?”
But more than just a walk, this event is also a charity ‘brainy’ toy drive for the Lotus Flower Foundation. The Lotus Flower Foundation (LFF) The LFF's mission is to eradicate the abuse of children in Thailand by campaigning for increased social awareness through sustainable methods such as policy change, education, encouraging social cooperation to report abuse, assisting victims in rehabilitation through professionally run shelters focusing on the safe and measured reintegration of children into society and striving to build communities in which children can live in dignity and security.
The after Zombie Walk parties will be held at both The Nest / Le Fenix and Q Bar.
Time: 6:30-9:00 pm – The Nest (rooftop of Le Fenix)
9-11:30 pm – Q Bar
100 baht Zombies (made with lots of Bacardi) will be available at both venues.
Free entry at both with ID and a Zombie Costume.
Prizes will be given for the top 5 Zombie Costumes.
70's Vampire Circus
June 18th 2011 | Bed Supperclub, Bangkok
Great historical combinations would include peanut butter and jelly, Abbott & Costello, salt & pepper, Calvin & Hobbes, The Wright Brothers, and perhaps even Thelma & Louise. Each of these aside, let's not displace the delicious reasons behind the popularity of vampires - sexuality & mortality.
Out of reach from garlic, silver-crosses, sunlight, wooden stakes, and fire, our 70’s Vampire Circus makes full use of all that whitening cream you have laying around.
Put on your boogie shoes, your disco wigs, and brush your fangs for this sexy 3 ring circus.
A night where stayin' alive won't be that much fun.
